We will get you ready for your entry into the creative industry. For this reason, regular visits to well-known companies in the fashion industry are part of our training program. On November 15, 2023 we were able to visit the S.OLIVER GROUP at their headquarter in Rottendorf.

Berlin Fashion Week January 2023

Berlin is always worth seeing, but it is the absolute place-to-be during Berlin Fashion Week.

We usually visit Berlin twice a year. After our visit last July, we went back to Berlin from January 17th, 2023 - January 19th, 2023 with over 40 young designers for the Berlin Fashion Week.

We found out about current collections, trends and news at various trade fairs and exhibitions and collected new inspiration. Highlights were the visit to PREMIUM, SEEK and FASHIONTECH.

In addition to commercial collections, products and accessories, there were also many future-oriented, sustainable and local products and designs on display, such as when visiting the Berlin Salon or Platte.Berlin

MUNICH FABRIC START 2023

Every idea depends on the choice of material. For this reason, we teach you everything about the handling, wearing and care properties of fabrics and other materials.

In the material technology subject, you will learn about the special features of processing different materials. As part of this, we regularly visit important fabric and yarn trade fairs so that our young designers can gain an insight on site.

At the end of January 2023 we were at the MUNICH FABRIC START with 40 young designers! As one of the leading European textile trade fairs, the MUNICH FABRIC START shows a qualitative portfolio of international fabric and ingredient manufacturers who present their latest developments and innovations in Munich.

Our young designers had the opportunity to receive a competent range of inspiration and specialist information.

Visit at HOLY AG Metzingen

Visit at HOLY AG Metzingen

We were invited to Metzingen by HOLY AG. Students from the final semester received exciting insights into the topic of e-commerce.

 

Our training concept is broad and highly professional: our young designers are trained to be real all-rounders and therefore have a wide range of job opportunities. During the visit to HOLY AG, professional opportunities in the areas of merchandising, styling, content management, photography and e-commerce were shown and explained. Visit of the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart

The artistic department of our creative training concept to become a fashion designer is supplemented by regular excursions to museums, galleries or exhibitions.

The Staatsgalerie Stuttgart offers an incredible amount of things worth seeing for those interested in art. For this reason, we regularly visit the State Gallery's exhibitions with our students, such as the special exhibition "Moved by Schlemmer - 100 Years of Triadic Ballet" and the installation "Handles" by Haegue Yang on the program.

Berlin Fashion Week July 2022

Visiting Berlin Fashion Week is a very regular part of the program.

From July 7th, 2022 to July 9th, 2022 we were back in Berlin with over 45 young designers and found out about current collections, trends and news at various trade fairs and exhibitions.

We started with a visit to the GROUND, a festival for style and culture. Further highlights included visiting PREMIUM, SEEK and FASHIONTECH.

Visit to Headquarter of Betty Barclay

At the invitation of Betty Barclay, some students from Stuttgart and Mannheim went to the Betty Barclay headquarters in Nußloch.

Our young designers were welcomed into the company’s brand new showroom and got the chance to get to know the different areas of the company. Corresponding lectures given by different departments of the company explained the working methods and production processes at Betty Barclay to our young designers.

Berlin Fashion Week in January 2020

Twice a year, Berlin Fashion Week brings together more than 10 trade fair and fashion show platforms and presents collections from almost all genres in just one week, a must for every young designer!

The fashion week draws up to 100,000 visitors and of course we were there again at Berlin Fashion Week in January 2020 with over 40 young designers from our Kehrer fashion school in Stuttgart and Mannheim.

Our young designers found out about versatile inspiration, trend information, contacts and gained valuable impressions of the international fashion business at PREMIUM, SEEK, SHOW AND ORDER, PANORAMA and NEONYT.

Visit to Munich Fabric Start in February 2020

Munich Fabric Start is one of the leading trade fairs for fabric and ingredient trends. The complex portfolio was composed of the latest fabric and ingredient trends for womenswear, menswear, denim, sportswear and, in some areas, kidswear.

The innovation processes and the developments of innovations and high-tech solutions are becoming increasingly rapid. Fashion designers have to be in the know when it comes to innovations. For this reason a visit to MUNICH FABRIC START is a must for every young designer.

Visit and company tour of Breuninger in Stuttgart

We were invited to a company tour by the company Breuninger in Stuttgart with pupils from the 5th semester of our Stuttgart fashion design school.

After a very friendly welcome and an introduction on the impressive development of Breuninger, the tailoring department introduced itself. Our young designers also had a guided tour of the workshop, the studios, Breuninger’s Special Service and learned about a few more areas.

During the visit to Breuninger we also met graduates from our fashion school. Visiting former students at their place of work is always amazing and makes us really happy. We’d like to thank Breuninger for the fantastic reception and the very informative and exciting afternoon.

Visit to Krüger Dirndl GmbH in Wernau

Some of our students from Kehrer’s design school in Stuttgart visited the headquarters of Krüger Dirndl GmbH in Wernau.

Our young designers were very warmly welcomed and got the chance to get to know the different areas of the business as well as learn about the development of the Krüger Dirndl brand. The visit was very informative and educational. It was also very gratifying to see graduates from our fashion school in Stuttgart again who have found their feet at Krüger Dirndl.

Guest lecture on the topic of digitalisation in the fashion industry

We were very grateful to be able to welcome Mr Mario Porst, a proven marketing expert from the creative industry, to give a guest lecture at our fashion school.

Mario Porst is Head of Marketing and Sales at MONA in Pforzheim. MONA is internationally active in the women's clothing sector and belongs to the Klingel Group. Mr Porst introduced the Klingel Group and gave many of our students interesting insights on the topic of digitalisation in the fashion industry in his keynote lecture. The topic of digitalisation first featured in the creative industry a long time ago: digital tools, virtual teamwork, 3D-programmes etc. are becoming increasingly important.

Mr Porst subsequently also presented the career opportunities at the Klingel Group for graduates of our fashion schools. At a final get-together, our students had the opportunity to speak directly to Mr Porst and get some useful tips from the expert himself.
